In December 2025, Smart Energy completed Phase II of the cleanup of part of Lake Saldus and the improvement of its shoreline at Pludmales Street 4 in Saldus. As a result of the works, the coastal area was restored and well maintained, environmental quality was improved, and accessibility for residents was enhanced. The area has become more functional and suitable both for everyday recreation and for the safe use of the lakeshore.
Within the project, Smart Energy carried out the installation of screw piles, constructed lake boardwalks and a pedestrian bridge, and installed floating platforms. In addition, wooden pedestrian walkways and gravel-surfaced paths were created, culverts were installed, and made paving works.
Considerable attention was also given to environmental landscaping, including the planting of trees and shrubs, greening works, and the improvement of the beach area. Various site amenities were installed, such as benches, lounge chairs, waste bins, and swings, as well as a children’s playground and an obstacle course, creating an attractive and diverse environment for visitors of all ages.
